On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month 102 years ago today, World War I came to an end when Germany signed an armistice agreement with Allied forces. In 1919 this day would become known as Armistice Day to commemorate the ending of WWI and honor those who fought. In 195, President Eisenhower, a veteran himself, signed a bill that was passed by Congress officially changing the designation to Veterans Day in honor of American Veterans from all wars. Today, in recognition of this day, Dr. Harold (also a veteran) and Anne Rumzek donated their 1970 Corvette in remembrance of the veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
