This past October, the museum was fortunate enough to have the Ben Fournier, the brother of one of our volunteers, Jason Rose, come over and do a drone shoot of the entire RR&G RR and the museum grounds. We hope that you enjoy it, and can get a new perspective of the museum and our mission. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHHhmJoT7rc

Great news! The SFHM has reopened and we have telephone service. Our telephone has been out since Hurricane Laura. The weather is great, so come on out and ride the Railbus and tour the museum. Look forward to seeing you soon. Doug

Our total damage in Hurricane Delta was this tree across the loop at the planer mill, which Mike and Gerald cut down already. Just the same we have a work weekend coming up this saturday, and we still have a lot to do cleaning up the railroad from Laura plus plenty of other low impact projects that we need help with, so come out an join us at the Museum at 9 on saturday.

We are pleased to say that the museum has weathered Hurricane Delta and its 16 inches of rain, with minimal damage and that all of the staff are safe as well. Of course, our power is out, like everyone else. Our sole damage consists of a tree which fell and broke the power and phone lines into the museum office, so we have no phone or internet either. When power is restored to the rest of the museum we will reopen so keep checking here. Until then and until our phone and internet are restored, if you need to contact the museum, please message us here on facebook and we will help you. If your need is more urgent, please call Doug Rhodes, the museum director at 318-769-2447
