Who remembers this awesome display at our 2015 airshow? We were lucky enough to have a twilight demo by the Canadian Forces CF18 Demo Team that year, and it was quite the spectacular Hornet display!

Today we remember the legacy of an incredible aviation pioneer, flying ace, test pilot, and multi-war veteran... Chuck Yeager. Yeager passed away yesterday evening leaving an incredible service career and long-lasting contributions to the aviation industry. Best known for being the first to officially break the sound barrier in the Bell X-1 in 1947, he was a P-51 pilot during World War 2 where he was credited for shooting down 11.5 enemy aircraft including the ME-262. Many people have met Yeager over the years or have seen this record-setting aircraft in museums, what memories do you have of this aviation legend?

79 years ago today, America was changed forever. On an island 3,836 miles away from the continental United States during a sleepy Sunday morning, the peace and stillness was suddenly interrupted by the sound of explosions, gunfire, and hundreds of aircraft. Once the smoke cleared, 4 battleships were lost, 13 ships damaged, nearly 400 aircraft destroyed or damaged, and 2,335 lives lost. We remember those who perished during the attack on Pearl Harbor, thrusting America into World War 2.

Fireball Friday! Did you know we have a pretty rare aircraft (well, among many!) with an interesting history! Check out this great documentary on the Ryan FR Fireball, which we have the only example left in the world on display in our Enterprise hangar. A unique aircraft that combined a prop engine and a jet engine! Business in the front, party in the back... maybe they should have called it the Ryan FR Mullet?
