It was another moving day today but instead of an aeroplane being moved we moved a portacabin , yes you read that correctly , a portacabin ! What was the under ...used crew room outside of the workshop is now to become the tool-store inside of the workshop were it will fitted out and made into the museum 'maintenance hub' complete with work benches and a heavy duty bench outside for the bigger jobs and for putting your cups of tea or coffee and sandwiches on . Only joking Chairman ! Given tonight's announcement from the Prime Minister this could well be our last move of the year too but time will tell ? Stay sane . With thanks to ; Dave , David , Dominic , Ian , Luke , Richard and as ever , Billy manning the shop . See more

A great day with lots of medals and memories on display , the Mayor and Lord Lieutenant too . It was nice to see several family members of former 607 pilots not... only attend but bring along family memorabilia too . Sadly the weather wasn't as it was on this day in 1940 but it didn't stop the socially distanced chat and more importantly , it didn't rain ! Thanks to all of the museum volunteers who helped out on the day and those who helped to organise things behind the scenes . See more
