The Vallpalou Foundation inaugurates, on Thursday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m., the exhibition 'Speck of dust, glow-worm' by the artist Teresa Vall Palou. The exhibition, curated by Pilar Parcerisas, can be visited from December 4, 2020 to March 27, 2021 (Tuesday to Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.). Teresa Vall Palou’s latest paintings are compositions that are born from an interior need, far removed from external appearances and objects, in which the vital impulse is orde...red with color and materials. They maintain the white background of the canvas, a colour that is fullness and nothingness, and are organized in very short series, recording emotional moments that tighten color and shape, initiating a period of maturity and synthesis. Compositions ranging from color to form, from chaos to order, from the particular to the universal, from objective chance to subjective control, from object to subject. It is a work open to each viewer, a mirror where each one can project themselves and rediscover their emotions, the result of an abstract thought that only responds to the spiritual condition of being. The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held on Thursday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Foundation's headquarters (C. Lauria, 2, bajo. Lleida), and will be attended by the artist and the director of exhibitions and activities from the Vallpalou Foundation, Pilar Parcerisas Colomer. We wait for you! Artur Aguilar's work has also explored the computer as an artistic tool. For the artist, working with a computer has the same artistic value as working with any other technique. This becomes one more tool, but it would be impossible to execute the work without the artist's mathematical and artistic knowledge.
Beyond the mathematical obsession, many of Artur Aguilar's works reflect an expertise and skill that borders on the perfection of the machine. An endeavoring artisan dimension that maintains the human vibration of the hand and the emotionality of an absolutely controlled and deceptive gesture in our eyes.
Today the Vallpalou Foundation has presented and inaugurated Espai 3 with the project 'M1 IFT LLD (Mural1 Lleida infrastructure)' by Pere Bellès. In addition to the artist, the director of the Foundation's exhibition and activities program, Pilar Parcerisas, also participated in the event. We are very grateful for the presence, among others, of Mr. Jaume Rutllant (City and Culture Councilor of the Lleida City Council), Mr. Sergio González (Sports and Physical Activity Councilor of the Lleida City Council) and Mrs. Montserrat Macià (Member of the parliamentary group of Junts per Catalunya). Likewise, we also want to thank the media (LleidaTV, Segre, La Mañana - Diari de Ponent, Ua1 Lleida Ràdio and Ràdio Rosselló), as well as the Visual Difusión company for creating the installation.
