One thing we never get enough of are the stories from Champaign County residents! The interesting, confusing, sad, uplifting, and hilarious stories! Our favorite stories, however, are the stories about haunted places, scary happenings, and the unexplained from Champaign County. Every Saturday in October the Historical Society will be asking for your ghost stories on a different theme from around Champaign County. This week we would like to hear any stories you might have that are centered around any of our local cemeteries!

In 1886, a new 2-story brick school house was built on South Main St. It served the Addison / Christiansburg community until 1937 when all students started attending Christiansburg Jackson. From 1937-1950 the building sat empty until it was renovated into four apartments. In 1967, Harvey Zimmerman bought the property & still owns it today. Thank you to Candy Gilliam and Christiansburg History & Pictures for letting us share this!
