I would be remiss to not share my personal thoughts on the day with the Marx Toy Museum community! Thank you for all of your support! And remember, tonight at 9 pm on the History Channel: "Frank's Big Day!"
Two Thumbs Up!!!
American Pickers show co-hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz visited the now-closed Marx Toy Museum in May to film for an episode of the show set to air at on November 13th at 9 pm. As part of the upcoming episode, Francis Turner, toy collector and former curator of the Marx Toy Museum, will showcase his collection, which centers around local history.
Over the years, Marx produced hundreds of Doll Houses each with creative variations and occasionally unique accessories. A simple concept of creating a miniature version of a home will create hours of playtime for a child a toy design which continues generation after generation. The Marx Contemporary Doll House was first produced in 1965. For Marx, it had a unique design it could only be accessed through the removable roof. However, this doll house may have been consid...ered for another unique feature! http://www.marxtoymuseum.com//doll-house-factory-prototype/
MTM Mailbag: Marx Brick "I am a Lego collector, and in my latest find was one stray brick that was mixed with the lego. It was marked 'Marx Made in Hong Kong' on the inside of the brick. I'm looking for a little more information on the brick building toys made by Marx."
