"Hold that pose!" E. W. McMillan holding a 8mm camera. McMillan was the pulpit minister of the Union Avenue Church of Christ in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1947, the elders of his congregation sent him on a fact finding mission to Japan in order to determine where they could help establish a Christian college there. After his return from Japan, McMillan toured the United Sates in order to develop financial and spiritual support for the school that would eventually become Ibaraki C...hristian College. After the school was established in 1948 and opened in 1949, McMillan served as its first president until 1952 when he returned to the United Sates. This photograph is part of an album given as a gift to E. W. McMillan upon his departure as president from Ibaraki Christian College.
